Santa Teresa, Costa Rica

Not Yet a Profile

This page isn’t a destination profile yet. Santa Teresa is on our radar: a place we’re watching, where I’ve done some early reading but none of the full research a profile gets. So you won’t find a verdict here on who it suits. If you know Santa Teresa, or it matters to you, tell me why.

Why Santa Teresa Is on Our Radar

Although I haven’t had the chance to visit Santa Teresa yet, the place already holds a special allure for me.

As someone who grew up surfing, the idea of riding the waves in what’s known as a surfer’s paradise is incredibly enticing. I’ve heard accounts from fellow expats about the laid-back lifestyle, the close-knit community, and, of course, the world-class surfing spots. These stories definitely resonate with me and I can’t wait to experience it all firsthand.

But it’s not just the surf that draws me to Santa Teresa. I’m also intrigued by the potential for a life that aligns with my family’s values and aspirations. We’re not just looking for a vacation spot; we’re searching for a community where we can authentically thrive.

I’m particularly excited about the prospect of engaging with the local expat community. I’ve always found that such networks are invaluable for navigating the complexities of life abroad, from understanding local customs to finding the best local eateries and hidden spots that you won’t find in any guidebook.

I invite you to share any tips or insights you may have about this captivating destination. Your input could be invaluable in helping us discover whether Santa Teresa is the perfect fit for our next chapter.
